Smart, sassy, and independent women stand out in any room. Fashion Daily caught up with business owner and fashionista, Kimberly Joseph. She is the owner of Kimberly Koko Shoe Boutique and has many more business ventures to come!!!

As we sat down, over great cocktails, Kimberly opened up about her business, her passions and her goals.

1. Have you always wanted to be a business owner?

Yes, I got the itch to become a business owner in highschool. I got sidetracked ,as we all do sometimes, but I realized what I loved and I went for it.

2. What is your favorite footwear for the fall?

I love military combat boots for the fall season. I also think that the Mary Jane pumps are hot. Of course, fall staples such as knee boots and booties are a must.

3. What is your personal style?

My personal style is laid back with a hint of sex kitten. A typical outfit for me would be skinny jeans, graphic tee, blazer, big earrings and of course heels.

4.Who would be your dream client(s).

I would love to style Rhianna. She has a edgy style that I can relate too and she is not afraid to take chances when it comes to fashion.

5. What advice would you give others who are thinking about starting a business?

I would say pray about everything and do your research!!! Keep positive people around. There will be people that will come and there will be people that will leave you, but you must push forward. Another important thing is networking!! Networking helps to get your business out to the public. You will meet people that you can learn alot from. Learning your customers and your products is also very important.

6. Do you plan to expand your business?

Yes, right now the boutique is online, but the goal is to have a physical store. I would also like to come out with my very own shoe line. Kimberly Koko's Shoe Boutique has the potential to become a global brand and I would love to see that happen.

7. What inspires you?

Knowing that I am following my dreams inspires me to do the very best that I can. I look to God for help, guidance, support,..............I just look to him for everything. I had to learn that I can't please everyone. I took something as small as a passion for shoes and turned it into a business with God's help. No matter where you are from; your dreams can come true.

I love a great manicure and pedicure, but the weekly visits can sometimes get expensive!!! Get a great manicure and pedicure from your local beauty school at a discounted rate. The students that will perform the services are juniors or seniors and the instructors are there to provide guidance also. Looking great should never cost you a fortune!!

We at Fashion Daily heart professionals in the fashion industry. As we approach the Fashion Daily Spa Manicure GiveAway, who better to interview other than expert stylist Tamara Kelly.

Tamara is a stylist at Total Pizzazz Styling Salon.  She has been a stylist for 5 years. She specializes in custom coloring, cuts, and natural & healthy hair.  She also specializes in all your makeup and nail needs. Fashion Daily caught up with Tamara and asked  her some questions about fall fashion 2011/2012.

1. What are some of trendy hairstyles for fall?

I love short and sassy cuts, silk wraps, short layered and feathered bobs.  I also love putting a bold twist on natural colors. Some hot colors I have made for my clients are pumpkin orange, cinnamon twist, cherry blossom red and of course jet blue black.
  

       2.   What are some hot makeup color choices for the fall?

Bold Colors mixed with neutrals!!! You can really express your emotions with your makeup choices. For the lids I love reds, blues, purples, gold, even yellows.  For the lips pinks, reds, and neutral colors are hot!!

        3.   Who is your dream celebrity client?

I would love to work with Monica.  I like her style and how she is not afraid to play with short and sassy styles. She makes every hairstyle her own and she is a trendsetter.


         4.   What is your definition of fashion?

My definition of fashion is expressing yourself using your personality. Being the fashion trend; not the follower.

         5.    How do you rock to the beat of your own drum?

I draw inspiration from my close friends  and life……………My best friend loves to push boundaries when it comes to color and I have learned to really step out of the box.

DIME on a dime

I love to shop, but in this economy it would be wise to spend less and save more.  I got a great tip from a family member; shopping at GOODWILL and CONSIGNMENT SHOPS. I found a great Sag Harbor Boyfriend Blazer similar to the one in the picture above. This blazer retails at $39. The gently used blazer from Goodwill cost $4.97.  You don't have to spend alot to look good.

When keeping it real goes wrong

Ahhh the dreaded muffin top.......  With everything from low rise underwear to the ultra low rise jeans, even the slimmest women find it hard to hide a little belly bulge. Having a muffin top can be embarrassing and can make the trendiest outfit look gross. Here's some tips for making muffing tops go away.

1 Spanx
Spanx are perfect to wear under jeans. They are the ultimate choice for hidng belly fat.
Pros: Comes in all sizes including maternity.
Cons: Price (But you get what you pay for sometimes)

2. Waist Cincher
Another soldier fighting belly fat.
Pros: Price ,Less material than a full girdle
Cons: May cause fat to bulge under cincher, May push fat upwards

3. Highwaisted jeans
Perfect muffin top coverup without the extra undergarments.
Pros: No extra undergarments, Price,
Cons:Shorter torsos may look weird in the jeans, may cause fat to push upwards
